AFTER NOISE, SILENCE
THE ORIGIN OF THIS WORK
I am focusing in the circle as a primitive and ancient element, using scars and healing as a life’s metaphor for the pictorial construction. Everything is constantly changing and everything is impermanent. Accepting the inevitable is part of this vital system. Like nature which also removes, destroys and eliminates, leading way to regeneration and new energy.
The circle is the figure, the thought, the concept. The colour is the matter, the senses, the emotions. With these two aspects the duality is born, on the basis of reason and feelings, contradictions appear. Because human mind is in constant fight between what he feels and what he thinks.
The life of a person is filled with circles, things we begin, decisions we take, experiences that return to our memory unconsciously, they even could be pleasant or traumatic, so that closing or leaving open these circles depends on us; and with them, our well-being or discomfort.
